Young Nudy Breaks Down “Since When” On Genius’ Series ‘Verified’

“I know you don’t like me, but you scared to come try me.”

In March, Atlanta rapper Young Nudy dropped “Since When” while gearing up to release his Slimeball 3 mixtape, which he recently unveiled this month. The track includes a feature from his cousin and fellow rapper 21 Savage, who also brought Young Nudy on the road to open up for him on his Issa Tour earlier this year. The duo linked up for the official music video as well, which currently has 8.6 million YouTube views. On the Kidd Hazel-produced track, Young Nudy raps about not being afraid of confrontation.

“Back then, when you a young nigga, when you like goddamn 16, 17, like man… Look, a thousand dollars? Boy look, you the motherfucking man,” Young Nudy tells Genius. “You is the man. You hear me? Especially on the east side, in my neighborhood, you feel what I’m saying? ‘Cause like I said, we ain’t have no OG’s and shit to come turn us on and show us this and that.”

Young Nudy recently sat down with Genius for the latest episode of Verified and broke down the track. Watch him go line-for-line with “Since When” in the video above, and check out past episodes, too.
